Greg Friedman is a Professor and Department Chair in the Department of Mathematics. In 1996, he graduated from Brown University with Sc.B degrees in Mathematics and Math-Physics. He received his M.S. in 1998 and Ph.D. in 2001, both in Mathematics from NYU’s Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences. Following postdoctoral positions at Yale University and Vanderbilt University, Dr. Friedman arrived at TCU in 2006. He has been a Faculty Senator since 2008, chaired the Senate’s Academic Excellence Committee for five years between 2010 and 2016, and has served as Administrative Secretary of the Faculty Senate (formerly called Assistant Secretary) since 2016.
